Soft and Puffy Curls with Stylerush Mini Flat Iron

Well, most of us using a thong to curl hair but there is a way where you can curl your hair using a flat iron! I have a curling thong too but I didn't even use it, I just don't have the courage to touch it. Don't ask me why.

Back to curling with flat iron, I discovered this method from the recent the Int' Beauty Expo during my last trip to Kuala Lumpur. There is a hair product brand Stylerush. It's a local company but it was run by Korean. What caught my eyes was the mini flat iron they selling. Their hair stylist was doing some demo there where they use the flat iron to curl hairs!

I told my sis straight away "I gonna grab this later!". After we mingled around the expo, I went back there to get the hair stylist to do a demo on my own hair. Then I grabbed one Stylerush Mini Flat Iron back home with me and there is a free gift on top of the purchase. Yay!

Stylerush Mini Flat Iron and the free gift!

Stylerush Mini Flat Iron comes in 3 colors! I go for the green one.

This is the size of the mini flat Iron. Good to tag along when travel.

OK, back to my apartment at KL….I tried to use the flat iron to curl my hair with my sister. The magical just didn't show like how it happens during the demo.

My thought "Oh no, I dumping my pennies into the sea gain?! *Doomp…*"

Until recently, finally I have discovered the way to create S-curl using the flat iron after few tries. Thanks to YuoTube!

BTW, guys out there, you can use this mini flat iron to style your hair! I have uploaded a few video tutorials which provided by Stylerush Malaysia distributor.

Rainy Day good for Korean BBQ too!

Yeap, I will definitely go for steamboat during rainy day but that's last time. Now, I have another choice – Korean BBQ. Our favorite Korean BBQ restaurant was Seogun at SS2, Petaling Jaya. First, it was the best Korean BBQ restaurant we been to. There might be a lot others nice Korean restaurant at Kuala Lumpur but this one will be the best around PJ plus it is nearby the place we stay at Kuala Lumpur – Kelana Jaya and our babysitter is nearby. We used to have dinner after work last time.

Well, there was a rainy day during our last trip to Kuala Lumpur and Seogun was in our "must eat" list so we went there! Perfect weather for a bowl of hot Kimchi Chigae!

That night…we had a little soju and it almost got me...phew

Craft Brews

We tried very hard to meet everyone during our trip to Kuala Lumpur, especially the last 2 days. Two weeks back we had lunch with hubby's friend/ ex-boss.

We went to Craft Brews at Mutiara Damansara because I hubby said their lamb shank was good plus they have beer, house brewed beer. Of course they don't brew the beer here in Malaysia but at Singapore. Hubby saw this restaurant at Singapore while getting his treatment from Singapore.

Our main intention was to have lunch there….and plus beer too. Hardly to go out for a drink back to KK so….:D.

Craft Brews at Mutiara Damansara.

The open air area. Good place to hang out during this coming World Cup fever.

There are American beers too.

Their food's menu.

I like the beer's quote!

And the farmer outfit of their waiter.

Their house brewed beers! Colorful…

This is mine. Forgot what it's call.

Our lunch!

Shrimp Aglio Olio

Beef bacon pasta.

The burger.

Have a date with my girlfriends at Craft Brews at the same day but I have to cancel it at the end. Girls…next time ya. Probably this coming September.

Watch Out!

Watch out! Not being rude but those watches seem like telling me "watch out"! I am looking for a watch for working purposes. First, my existing watch is a stailess steel easy to get scratches. As manicurist, I can avoid my hand touching on the table and I need a water resistant watch because I can't avoid touching water. I existing watch is not a water resistant watch! OUCH….please don't think why would I bought a not water resistant watch because I felt in love with it on the first sight.

Hubby and daddy brought me to a family friend watch shop this morning, a family friend since granny generation! I saw these….those watches seem like telling me "Watch out!".

I like you (watch) but sorry...because you are leather….no good to be friend for "water".

But this….perfect!

And it's a gift from my father in law. It's the first birthday gift I got so far. Thank you daddy.

I got a Chanel!

Just the logo…hopes I don't get sue from Chanel. Got this inspiration from a Chanel tote bag since I am still saving up for the very first Chanel bag but for the moment I want the logo to be on my netbook. What I did is to bling up a Chanel logo on my netbook.

Wanted to put on the rhine stone on my netbook for so long but I don't have a firm idea to start the drafting and then I saw a bag from Chanel. Alright, I am going to put on the logo on my netbook. Then went to dig out all the Swarovski I have but can't find a suitable size. I went to shop for some tools and materials for this project.

Here goes the tool I used:

  • Tweezer! Yes, a tweezer will do to pick the stone
  • Craft glue
  • Swarovski stones
  • The double-C logo. For shape tracing purpose.
  • Eyebrow pencil. To draw/trace the logo on to the netbook surface.

Well, I tried to use a normal color pencil to trace the shape but it won't work on smooth surface but something crayon will but crayon might be a lil too much for the tracing work. Found something similar to crayon which is eyebrow pencil. Did the work just nice and it will be easier to clean up the trace line after I done the "deko-den" art work. To clean it, use a cotton pad with gentle makeup remover to wipe off the trace line.

Do not use others that glue for craft purposes because some glue might destroy plastic surface. The one I used was G-S Hypo Cement which dries clear, will not bond fingers (excellent), with a pinpoint dispenser which is good when come to tiny rhine stone.

#1 Trace the logo on to my netbook.

#2 Start sticking the stone from the outline of the logo.

#3 Fill-in the logo with the stones once I finish the "blinging" the outline. DONE!

It took me about 2 hours to finish the project. You can try this on something which is not valuable first. After a few tries you will be familiar with the stone spacing and placing, then you can do it on your watch, iPod, mobile phone or anything you wish.

Love,

Joey
