I like this dish very much when I still stay at my hometown because Hokkien knows how to cook the best Bak Kut Teh (肉骨茶), please you are not from Malaysia, click here to know more about the dish. I like to have this as breakfast last time, it's kinda like Cantonese having Dim Sum for breakfast but for Hokkien we take Bak Kut Teh in the morning. I like to take this dish during a rainy day as well because I feel warm to have it during rainy day as traditionally we serve it in the hot clay pot. Hot dish to warm up!
I had Bak Kut Teh (BKT) for my dinner this evening….finally because I have been craving for it since CNY and I could not find a shop selling Hokkien taste Bak Kut Teh in Kota Kinabalu yet, it's easy to eat Hakka dish everywhere in KK but not Hokkien dish. Finally we found one shop call Xin Ji Bak Kut Teh (新记肉骨茶) which sell a Hokkien taste Bak Kut Teh in the city center.
Not able to take a proper a photo of the shop.
Although it tastes like Hokkien style cooking but they added pork balls in the BKT here in Kota Kinabalu!
I think it's from me as well, Lil Jo likes this dish too.
And because this pot of hot soup dish, I had 2 BOWLS of rice!!!! We finish the whole pot, nothing left! I have to double up my work out again! Actually I been through some hard time today, my mood is down deep in the valley. I found out something which makes me feel so sad about it. I think that's make me eat more during the dinner.
Mr. SAD please go away!!! I miss my hometown, Kuala Terengganu so much! I wanna go home.
Love,
Joey
