16042010: Pak To Day

"Pak To" mean dating in Cantonese. We always go out pak to, going to wet market also consider pak to for us. This day we are going out to pak to at Pavilion.

We went to Pavilion around 11am after sent lil Jo to our previous baby sitter mean there's only me and hubby!!!

Main mission to the mall is to get a pair of casual shoe for Hubby. He's really particular when comes to shoes. He said: "I know what I want and what I look good with." So this is so hard….we have been searching a pair of shoe from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur. After one hour of searching finally he got his shoe at Skechers…phew!

Then we head for lunch at a Mediterranean restaurant – Athena.

I go for the salad and hubby goes for the risotto.

The rest of stuffs we got that day are…

A pair of sandal for myself

Two pairs of pant for Lil Jo

Socks! The colorful pair of sock is mine!

A hair dryer because we don't have one at the rented service apartment.

and …..He got me this…

Hello from Kuala Lumpur!

Hello! Finally a family of three back to Kuala Lumpur for a holiday….we never thought that we come to Kuala Lumpur for holiday as last time we residing at Kuala Lumpur and it's a place of living instead of holiday.

Once touched down on last Sunday afternoon, we rushed to SS2 for wanton noodles!!!! But unfortunately, the restaurant we usually visit, they have nothing to serve us except for steam chicken wanton noodles! We want to eat CHAR SIEW!!! Cantonese style char siew (roast pork) with wanton noodles!

When we about to leave SS2, we saw this! Char Siew Chai Wanton Noodles shop!!! If you are regular at Seapark area you may know Char Siew Chai because their char siew is dam famous around that area.

Char Siew Chai wanton noodle.

But again they are running low on the char siew supply so no more fat char siew…sob sob. But at least we had some char siew for our addiction!!!!

Lil Jo was so excited at KKIA....kept saying "I want to sit aeroplane"

Going to KL for a month

KL….I were there for about 6 years, finish my university study then working there, get married with family of three and never expect that I will be moving to Kota Kinabalu with my husband. I like the life here in Kota Kinabalu it has been six months now ever since we moved back to here and thing getting better day and day. I will be starting working this coming June, a part time job at a nail salon. I will take this great opportunity to further my nail technician (or whatever you call it) knowledge and gain my experience. Not planning to open any salon but if I do I need experience in this profession, isn't it? I am starting to know more friends from Kota Kinabalu now, thanks God that I can attended the classes.

But I missed my friends at Kuala Lumpur so much and my hometown too hence hubby made a decision that we going back to Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Terengganu for a month there to meet up with friends. My best friend getting married on May at Kuala Terengganu so I must attend her wedding banquet, she's my best friend she help me a lot during university time when everyone choose to get involve. She's my bride maid and flew all the way from Kuala Terengganu to attend my wedding banquet in a heavy rain day. Yes, heavy rain on my wedding day and it's a garden wedding…everything perfect except the rain.

Our flight to KL is 10am today. I woke up late to double check if I have pack everything needed. When travelling with a kid, is not easy. This remind of my parents, how they take care four of us last time. GENG CHAO (mean superb capable in Cantonese) lo….

See you all at Kuala Lumpur!

What’s your name?

"What is your name?" I think this was the very first question I learnt to ask or been asked during kindergarten time. Then you answer the question. There is many way to let others what is your name too like tattoo but why would I need to tattoo my own name on my body, unless I join the army.

How about custom name necklace?! I made one for myself. It's funny right? to wear your name everywhere you go but I just like it when I first saw this idea from Japanese magazine 2 years ago and I kept thinking to get myself one custom made name plate necklace but in Malaysia I have no idea where to get till I found Dasilver from some local trading forum.

Dasilver was founded by a young lady, Eefee. She's so pretty from the picture in the website. She is good and prompt. They are doing custom made name plate with different design as you wanted.

The story, I made one for myself and another three name plate for my dear friends too – Candy, Wing and Miu! But unfortunately Candy's name plate was broken during shipping and Eefee has made a promise to replace a new name plate. Like the service. :D

I have been wearing it for the past two weeks and like it so much.

I might be getting another one in gold!

Essential item for a flight

Alright, the longest flight I ever had was flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu which took two and a half hours. I never been to Egypt, never been to state never been to OZ and never been to any place far than Singapore. So…. should I cry??? :p I know there will be time for me to travel to those place in the future, I 'm just 26 this year. I will make it happen.

Two and half hours flight from KL to KK, it's not long but it's not a short flight too. If I'm travel with lil Jo I will not be bringing anything to entertain myself because all my time on the flight belongs to lil Jo. How about when I am travel alone, what I bring to the plane are:

iPod nano and magazine

Lip Balm...Mango flavour

and eye drop…ROHTO Lycee eye drop with the cute case given by Candy.

iPod and magazine to kill time; lip balm and eye drop for the dry condition in the cabin.

Will be flying to Kuala Lumpur again next Sunday, should I add the SK-II miracle water in the list?

Treat you lashes like hair: L’oreal Paris Renewal Lash Serum

We always put on hair serum for our hair to repair the hair condition or for more protection. Same for our eye lashes, no doubt it was hair as well! It is the same concept, we use hair serum to prevent hair loss and repair damaged hair; same for the eyelashes, it will fall out as well every time when we remove eyes makeup like mascara.

Now, L'oreal Paris has come out with something to boost up the condition of your P.R.E.C.I.O.U.S.E eye lash!

L'oreal Paris Renewal Lash Serum

What it does are:

  • A lash booster

By providing the energy necessary for lash developement: Pro-Vitamin B5 + Pro-peptide + Arginine
Arginine is one of the main amino acids in keratine, a key component of your hair and lashes. This will be the key component to repair your damaged areas of the eyelashes so the end of the lashes is more visibly hence the eyelash will get STRONGER.

  • A treatment to reduce lash loss

The serum contains Madecassoside which helps to prolong lash lifespan.

The result?! Longer, fuller and stronger lashes!!!

How to use?

It's EASY with only two steps using the special design APPLICATOR.

The applicator

STEP 1:

Apply to the root of the lashes like a liner with the tip of the applicator.

STEP 2:

Next, apply to the whole length of the lashes with the curved part of the applicator.

Apply the product twice daily, once in the morning and once in the night. Apply it again in the night because our metabolic system biological functioning at peaks to undergoes truly intense cellular renewal.

I have been using this since end of March, the following are the progress photos:

  • I think my lashes look FULLER!
  • LONGER lashes, I think the serum helps too because I usually need to apply three coat of mascara to lengthen my lash but now one coat will do. My apologies I don't know how to measure my lash. :D

  • There is NO MORE eyelash loss during make-up removal. Yay!!!!!

The serum priced at MYR 49.90 and you can get it at all L'oreal Paris cosmetic counter now.

Photo took under natural light.

Close up

Item I used:

  • KATE Deep Eyes e/s palette
  • Stila Smudge Pot in Black
  • Lancome Oscillation mascara
  • RMK Blush in 02 Light Pink

Let me know how to improve….please…..

Wood Noodles!!!

Wood Noodles here refer to "Pan Mee" (板面)! Direct translation from the Chinese to English, I won't eat wood. My favorite will be the Hokkien style Pan Mee aka Mee Hoon Kuey (in Hokkien) but here I can't find the original Hokkien Pan Mee but there one store, their Pan Mee texture, holly molly…smooth like jelly.

This Pan Mee store is located at Damai, nearby the coffee shop I like to hang out, nearby the Fook Yuen Coffee Shop which sell nice kaya bread!

Heng Wong Pan Mee (兴旺板面).

The Pan Mee…I go for the normal noodles type and Hubby go for the slices Pan Mee.

The Pan Mee taste good for sure huh…the bowl at the back, CLEAN. That's my bowl.

I am having my favorite "limong teh ping"! Yes, I don't get bored with it. Please don't ask me why.
